BOY SCOUT PROGRAM
ON WEDNESDAY
Troop No. 1 of Tryon will put
on a practical demonstration of
Scouting on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
Beginning at 10 o’clock the Scouts
will pitch a tent in the space
across from Missildine’s and camp
for the day, preparing their noon
day meal similarly to conditions
in the open. The public is in
vited to drop by and watch the
proceedings. Beginning at 11
o’clock continuing at each
hour ,until 3 the following pro
gram will be given:
Fire by Friction, Phil Morris,
Bobby Dick, Jimmie Baker, and
Tom M'elton.
First Aid: Holland Brady and
Tom Mlelton, demonstrating arti
ficial respiration, explaining the
treatment for sunstroke, etc.
Knot Tieing: Jimmie Baker,
Tom Melton and Bobbie Dick.
First Aid Carriers: Phil Morris
and Jimmie Baker.
Bugling: Jimmie Baker.
At 12 o’clock the entire troop

ing the tent, preparing the
grounds, and .policing the grounds
afterwards. Locke McGeachy, Se
nior Patrol Leader, will be camp
officer.
Mr. and Mrs. Irving Day of
Greenwich, Conn., have arrived
in Tryon and are occupying
Little Orchard while Mr. and
Mrs. Flynn are in Florida. The
Days are building a home in the
Hunting Country.
