C. . . • . One gre a t service is accomplished when you list the names of your guests in the Bulle tin. It makes a contact with the outside world. Sometimes impor tant telegrams, long distance telephone calls and special deliv ery letters are delayed or not de livered at all because a guest is here in a home or hotel without the various communication sys tems knowing it. The Bulletin is used to locate people. Sometimes >a telephone call or telegram will be addressed to John Doe at Tryon, N. C. The person at the other end of the line will say: “John Doe left here to visit friends at Tryon, N. C., and we have forgotten the name of the persons or hotel. This is an ur gent message.” So you see, you render a service to your guests and a lot of others concerned when you li«t your guests in the Bulle tin. These gifts from day to day will make it possible to com- Continued on Page Three TRYON HIGH DOWNS WELCOME 47 TO 29 In a game played Monday night on the Welcome court in Green ville, the Tryon high basketball team exhibited flawless play to overcome the Welcome team by a 47 to 29 score. The Tryon boys expecting tough opposition due to their one point victory earlier in the season did not get under way until the second quarter when they racked up 16 points while holding Welcome to 5. All 5 of the Tryon starting quintet participated in the scoring and showed the best teamwork of the season. McFarland led scoring with 14 points, followed by Jack son and Yining with 12 each. White, a small, diminutive player stood out for Welcome. Line-ups: Tryon (47): McFarland, 14; Jackson, 12; Vining, 12; Melton, 4; Taylor, 5; Beatson, 0. Welcome (29): White, 12; Mc- Junkin, 7; Shook, 6; Patten, 0; Lynn,' 2. Referee: Boling. Store at half: Tryon 23; Wel come 15. Investments Increase Here $500.00 Daily In February Secretary M. R. McCown’s re port to the Board of Directors of the Tryon Federal Savings & Loan Association, published in today’s Tryon Daily Bulletin shows an increase in total assets from $288,- 309.18 to $306,262.63, a growth of $17,953.45. The private invest ments jumped during the month from $216,803.69 to $231,833.12, an increase of $15,029.44.
