BUILDING ROAD
Work on rebuilding Harmon
Field road which connects the
Saluda and Columibus roads, start
ed early this morning. The big
shovel arrives this afternoon.
Nearly 30 men are employed on
the work. The caretaker’s house
will be moved Monday. The road
will be straightened and widened,
thus making it safer and more
useful.
Green River Plantation will be
open on April 30th from 2 p. m.
through the evening to visitors
for the benefit of the Rutherford
Hospital. Admission is sl.
Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Richards
are visiting in Florida.
About 20 Tryon high school
students and teachers went to
Asheville this morning to visit
the Biltmore Estate and House.
Mrs. Franklin Parker is return
