Committee For Tea At Country Club Wednesday Mrs. Jefferson Coe, chairman, has announced the hostesses for tea at the Tryon Country Club from 4 to 6. Visitors fx> the Tryon Flower Show at the Parish House will be welcome for tea at the Country Club. The fc} Flower Show will be held from 3 r to 6 p. m., and there will be no conflict for guests desiring to at tend both events. The hostesses are as follows: Mrs. Junius R. Judson, Mrs. Schuyler Hamilton, Mrs. Webster Thayer. Mrs. G. S. Connor, Mirs. Fred H. Rollins, Mrs. James R. Trowbridge Mrs. Seth ML Vining, Mrs. W. A. Schilletter. The price of the tea is 35 cents. WILL IT BE COMICAL? The Tryon high school Seniors will present their annual play on Friday night at the school audi torium at 8 o’clock. Title “Sing a Song of Sixteen,” a comedy. “Will Take About $900”, Says John Moore In Estimating Building Cost The new community-county fair building to be erected at Harmon Field in place of the delapidated green building will cost between SBOO and S9OO says John Moore, local contractor, in estimating the cost after following the blue prints made by Russell Walcott and Shannon Merriwether, archi tects. The building will be 30 feet wide by 100 feet long. The front end will contain offices and other needed facilities and will be available for county fairs, com munity fairs, apple shows, horse shows, picnics, family reunions, pageants, dances, and other re creational entertainment. Kales Gives SIOO Toward Harmon Field Building William R. Kales, Detroit busi ness man who has made Tryon his winter home for many years, has started the ball to rolling again to accumulate funds for the Harmon Field Fair Building. A previous gift from. Mrs. Chas. B. DuCharme, also of Detroit and a promise from F. I. Barber, Forest City Coca-Cola Bottling executive, have inspired C. J. Lynch the chairman to go ahead with the building project, counting on the cooperation of the general public, many of whom have not given to ward the other buildings. Dona tions to the Fair Building Fund may be sent to C. J. Lynch, left at the Tryon Bank, with any of the merchants or sent to the Bulletin office.
