Pace Is Candidate For
Saluda Mayor’s Office
Saluda, April 29. Herbert
Pace, who was a candidate for
town commissioner in the election
scheduled to be held in Saluda on
May 6, has switched and is now
a candidate for mayor in oppo
sition to Roy T. Baisden, Jr.,
chairman of the Polk County
Elections Board and World War
veteran. Candidates for the two
places on the board of commis
sioners are D. R. Fisher, Roy
Johnson and G. L. Thompson—
Asheville Citizen.
