BLACKWELL Tryon N c Home Savings Increase The report of the Tryon Fed eral Savings & Loan Association published in Friday’s Bulletin showed an increase during the past month in total assets from $308,934.56 to $315,765.10; a gain of nearly $7,000 during the month. The total private investments in creased over SI,OOO a week, jump ing from $233,407.70 to $238,- 768.79. The interest paid on these investments is about twice that received from many savings in stitutions, and the investments have the federal agency insurance protection up to $5,000 on each investment. BASEBALL TODAY The Adams-Mjllis and Sayles baseball teams will play this af ternoon at the Adams-Millis park near the How r es Pacolet River bridge. Ward and Arledge will form the battery for the locals. MOLLIE MORRIS CIRCLE The Mollie Morris Circle of the Tryon Methodist church will meet on Monday night at 8 o’clock at the home of Mrs. Marvin Brendall with Miss Minnie Lee Garrison as co-hostess.
