Cowan’s Celebrates Eighth
Birthday This Week
John Cowan, who started in
the grocery business on a shoe
string eight years ago, is cele
brating his Eighth Anniversary
this week. A “double truck” ad
vertisement appears in today’s
issue of the Bulletin announcing
the eighth anniversary and of
fering a bargain in every item
with a figure “8” in it. Instead of
the simple John Cowan, grocer, it
is now “Cowan’s Superette Sfemi-
Self Service” with a lot of new
shelves and arrangements, which
Mr. Cowan says, “helps the cus
tomer to wait on himself if he
desires it and makes it easier for
us to give him quicker service.”
Prof. R. A. Wilson has resign
ed the principalship cf Stearns
high school. He will accept a
similar one in the Eastern part
of the state.
