Erwin of the Forest City public schools, who is lieutenant governor of Division One of the Carolinas Ki wanis district, will make an offi cial visit at the Tryon Kiwanis Club on Tuesday at 1 p. m. at Hotel Tryon. The program will be in charge of Hoyt O. Prince and John G. Landrum, Sr. • Masons Meet Tonight The Jeff, L. Nelson Masonic Lodge will meet- tonight at 8 o’clock at Missildine’s Hall. Adams-Millis Wins Again Adams - Millis defeated the strong Hazelwoqd baseball team 14 to 4 on the Adams-Millis Ball park on Saturday evening. The local team made 17 hits including * a home run by Heatherly. Battery for the locals consisted of Ward, Arledge and Heatherly. W ebster-Foster Miss Emily Foster, daughter of Mr. J. C. C. Foster of Tryon, and Mr. George Webster of Neenah, Wisconsin, and Tryon, were mar ried on Saturday morning, May 10th, at Inman, S. C., by the Rev. Mr. Lehman at the Methodist parsonage. The young couple will make their home at Neenah. DR. VON GOLDBERG Dr. Harold von Goldberg, 65, prominent eye specialist of Phila delphia and father cf Mrs. John Preston of Tryon and Mrs. Ralph Erskine, Jr., of Brevard, died Sunday night at St. Luke’s hos pital following a heart attack. Interment in Philadelphia. Baseball Clowns Coming The Boston Hoboes, a baseball team traveling over the country giving exhibitions of skill in base ball and general entertainment will perform in Tryon at the Adams-Millis ball park on Wed nesday night at 8 o’clock. They make the fans laugh one moment with their fun and gasp the next over a thrilling performance.
