Bov Scout Public Program
Tonight is one of the three
nights open fcr publ'c entertain
ment at the Piedmont Boy Scout
camp on Lake Lanier. Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday nights
offer entertainment and Friday
night is given over to the Court
of Honor. Tonight and every
Thursday at 8 p. m., a Knights
of Shining Armor program will
be presented at the amphitheatre.
On Wednesday nights mystery
plays are given and on Tuesday
nights at 8, the historic Daniel
Boone pageants. Public invited.

LESS THAN $25 NEEDED
FOR POLK USO FUND
Polk County needs only $25 to
reach its goal of s3oo' asked of
the county by the United Service
Organization in helping to raise
the $11,000,000 needed to supply
the recreational needs of the men
called in service to defend the na
tion. As little as ten cents will
pe accepted and recorded as a
gift to the welfare of the soldiers
and sailors. Thirteen counties in
the State have already reached
their quotas. Outside of Tryon
township only one donation has
come in from the county at large.
