A SPECIAL CANNING DEMONSTRATION A representative from a can ning company will give a demon stration of steam pressure cooker and hot water gath canning at the Stearns high school lunch room in Columbus on Wednesday, J une 25th, at 10 o’clock. Food leaders, WPA and NYA supervisors are urged to attend the demonstration. Others who are willing to repeat the demon stration to at least one neighbor and making a report to either Miss Garrison, home agent, or to Miss Polly Thompson. FSA heme supervisor, are also invited and urged to attend. Because of the defense program this demonstration is more im portant than -when scheduled by the home agent in the district planning meeting of extension specialists, county and home agents in Statesville last fall. Miss. Sue Soence of Gastonia is vistiing Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Pinion. Miss Thelma Salada is visiting Miss Sara Ann Briggs at Gaff ney, S.
