CURB REPORTER Progress on moving the dirt from the Oak Hall bank is going along nicely ahead of schedule. The dirt is being poured into the ravine near the Supreme Service Station and the street has already been widened from 10 to 15 feet. ’This will be a great improvement to the town in giving additional parking space and in shortening a bad_ curve on the Godshaw Hill road. Another good suggestion has come from several citizens to lengthen Oak Street between Mis sildine’s and Ballenger’s with the surplus dirt from the Oak Hall bank. While the shovel and trucks are here it would be cheaper new than later. And later it will have to be done in order to relieve the traffic congestion. Oak Street is a short street and would have to be extended only about half a block in front of the home of C. W. Ballenger to connect with Howard street in front of George A. Cathey’s house. This addition al outlet would not only help the traffic condition but would also provide for some additional park ing space .....
