ports that the following addition
al contributors have brought the
airplane ambulance fund for Eng
land to $71.40, almost half of
Polk County’s quota of $150: Mrs.
W. H. Burtenshaw, C. M. Howes,
J. R. Trowbridge, George H.
Holmes, Sr., R. Ei. Brantley for
the J. U. O. A. M. There is a
balance of $78.60 to be raised if
Polk County does what Governor
Broughton’s committee hopes from
the county.

The Tryon team gees to Spar

Inter-Club match in the Piedmont
Golf Association.

LOSES LEG
Rufus Gosnell, who has been in
Mary Black hospital for some
time, underwent an operation on
Monday and had his right leg
removed.
