Such grand things do happen sometimes, even to a reporter. And we’ll be just as eager to get back to the moun tains . . The news will be taken care of in the office by Miss Peggy Lincoln and Miss Bell Jackson. Both young ladies were Tryon high school reporters for The Polk County News, and when they went to college both took an active in terest in their college newspapers and became editors of them. And now they will be back home next week to help get out the home town newspaper. Fortunately, we have on the staff, Monte Dedman, who is correspondent of The Ashe ville, Spartanburg, Greenville, Charlotte and Hendersonville news papers as well as the United Press at Raleigh. So we feel that Try on wilf be fully covered from a news standpoint. Then, look what’s coming up: Chairman Car roll Rogers and Julian Hester are winding up their campaign for Polk County’s quota of $l5O for the Airplane Ambulance that Governor Broughton wants to give England as a gift from the liber ty loving people of North Caro lina.
