Directors Met Today
At the regular meeting of the
directors of the Tryon Chamber of
Commerce today a nominating
committee was appointed to nom
inate nine ■ directors for election
on August 7. They will take office
on the week of August 15th a„
the annual meeting.
The election meeting will be held
Thursday night, August 7th, at
Missildine’s Hall at 8 p .m. At
the directors meeting today a pro
posal was adopted to have the term
of office of the nine directors
staggered. Three men will be
nominated and elected for one
year terms, three men for two
year terms and three for th'fee
year terms. This amendment will
be presented at the meeting next
week and if adopted directors will
be elected according to the new
proposal.

Mrs. Solomon Morgan of Land
rum Route 2, Ben Lankford of
Greer Route 5, Mrs. Edward E.
Chessbro of Landrum and Patsy
Feagan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Louis Feagan of Columbus, who
had a tonsil operation today.
