No. 2 will fellow. TRYON. N. C., TUESDAY, AUG. 5, 1941 EUGENE EDWARDS, 13, TAKEN BY DEATH Eugene Edwards, 13-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph T. Ed wards of Mill Spring died Mon day night at a Tryon hospital af ter an illness of a week. Surviving besides his parents, are two brothers, Ralph Edwards, Jr., and Markle Edwards; a sis ter, Miss Corrie Ellen Edwards; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Corrie Edwards of Columbus; and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Williams of Mill Spring route 2. Stolen Car Recovered State Highway Patrolman Rob ert Miller and Chief of Police Claude Scoggins of Tryon recov ered a stolen 1939 Ford coupe belonging to Mrs. Bessie Clager akis of Asheville on Friday. The car was stolen on July 31st in Asheville and was abandoned in South Carolina just below Tryon. A farmer saw two young men desert the car in a hurry. SINGING SUNDAY AT MOUNTAIN PAGE There will be an all-day home coming and singing convention at Mt. Page church on the sec ond Sunday, August 10th, with dinner on the ground. Adger M. Page, music editor for James D. Vaughan of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., will be there. All singers and the public have a special invitation.
