Mc- Farland’s records show that there will be for trial one case of burg lary, one for murder, 11 for as sault with deadly weapon; arson 1; 23 for violation of prohibition laws; 19 for driving while drunk; 2 for harboring criminal; one for operating disorderly house; violating forest fire laws 1; dis posing of mortgage property 1; embezzlement 1; forcible tresspass ing 6; larceny 4; breaking and entering 5; highway robbery 1; reckless driving 2; affray 3; abandonment and non-support 1. The jury list was published weeks ago. Folk 4-H Team Tied Russell Garrett of the Colum bus 4-H Club tied for second place in the State 4-H Health Contest. Russell had a score of 99.2 out of a possible hundred, but was beaten by 4-10 of a point. Russell teamed up with Hubert Mclntyre also of the Columbus club and gave a dairy demonstra tion on feeding dairy cattle for milk production. The boys placed sth in the State contest and gave a very accreditable account of themselves. Only 5 points out of a possible 300 separated the first 5 teams. $1.50 Year in the Carolinas TRYON, N. C., THURSDAY, AUG. 7, 1941 Bushwhackers and Adams-Millis No. 2 Win The Bushwhackers defeated Ad ams-Millis No. 1 on Wednesday afternoon at the Adams-Millis ball park in softball by the score of 10 to 9. This game was close throughout. Immediately following this game Adams-Millis No. 2 de feated the Bird Hunters. Today’s game will be between Kilowatters and Soumerco at Harmon Field at 6 o’clock.
