The Ladies Aid Society of St.
Johns in the Wilderness is spon
soring a recital by Mark Wallner
concert violinist, Friday after
noon, August 8 at 4 o’clock at
Hopewood, the home of Mrs. Reu
ben Robertson in Flat Rock.
The proceeds will go to the Brit
ish Relief and the Charity Fund
of St. Johns.
An analysis of Mr. Wollner’s
pregram will be given by Rob
roy Farguhar, manager of the
Old Mill Playhouse. Miss Mary
Brooks, Hendersonville, will be the
accompanist.
Mrs. A. G. Merrick and Mrs.
E. H. Godshaw of Greenville
came over Tuesday to see Anson
Merrick leave with the selectees
for induction into the Army at
Fort Bragg.

daughter, Mrs. Robert F. Evans,
