esting visitors to Tryon who reg
istered at the Mountain Industries
shop on Friday. Professor Judd
is a native of Jackson County and
has not been back to this section
in nine years ...... The
weather for Friday: High 87;

had a speaker on Friday who
teaches men how to read charac
ter, tell whether a man is honest,
truthful, thrifty, industrious, neat,
etc. Said he could tell a man’s
walk he was slovenly cr
not. I thought of the pile of
papers on my desk, and my kan
garoo walk, I decided not to be
analyzed ...... I have never
met Joe Dennis. He has been
an invalid since birth. The last
time he lived in Tryon was when
his father was cashier of the
First Bank & Trust Co., cf Try
on. He made many friends then
and all of them speak of his keen
mind and interesting personality.
His interest in those friends and
in Tryon is also keen—so keen
that he has continued his sub
scription to the Tryon Daily Bul
letin fcr the past seven years
since the family left Tryon and
are now living at Clover, S. C.
He and his father, J. A. Dennis,
were through Tryon the other day
and renewed his subscription. One
