Edwards The funeral of Raleigh Thomas Edwards. 76. who died Satui aa\ at his home in Landrum, after having been in declining health for some time, were conducted on Sunday at 5 p. m. (EST> at the Landrum Baptist church. Mr. Edwards was a s:n of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alex Edwards, and was a native of Polk coun ty. N. C. He had been a resident of Landrum for a number of years, and was a member of the Landrum First Baptist enure::. His wife, the former Miss Sarah Elizabeth Bruce Edwards, died June 16; 1940. Survivors include two sons. S. A. and B. E. Edwards of Land rum: two daughters. Miss Maude Edwards and Mrs. Dexter Morrow of Landrum: four brothers. Sam and John Edwards of Try on. X. C.. Edward Edwards of Mill Spring. N. C.. and Sherman Ed wards of Hillghrt. X. C.: one sis ter. Mrs. Tiny Edwards of Mill Spring. The Rev. R. A. Ellis and Dr. E. E. Bomar officiated at the final rites.
