The general lectures, the first of which will be by the Rev. Henry Hallam Tweedy, D. D., of Yale University Divinity School; the normal classes for church work ers and parents; the discussion classes in life problems tor young people, promise to be of great value. Those who intend to en roll as members of the school will facilitate matters, if they will make early enrollment with John G. Landrum, Jr., at the Tryon Bank and Trust Co. The foe is one dollar for the entire course. Reception For Teachers At Sunnvdale Thursday At Sunnydale, on Thursday af ternoon, October 2nd, will be held the annual reception for the fac ulty of the Tryon Public School. From 4 to 5:30 there will be open house, and a cordial invitation is extended to every citizen of Tryon, young and old, to come to Stinny dale, and greet the new, as well as the old, teachers, and enjoy a social cup of tea with their friends.
