Mrs. Lemort Died Friday At Hendersonville Mrs. Jeanne M. Golay Lemort, formerly of Tryon, died at her home in Hendersonville on Friday morning following an illness of several motnhs. Funeral services will be held at the home on Fifth avenue west at 2 o’clock cn Sunday 'afternoon. Burial will be in the family plot in the Tryon cemetery. The fol lowing Tryon men have been ask -9k to serve as pallbearers at the JBietery around 3:15: G. H. Holmes, Jim Screven, C. M. Howes, Fred E. Swann, C. J. Lynch, R. S. Jackson. Mrs. Lemort was a native cf Lauzanne, Switzerland. She came to this country as a young girl. Her husband, A. J. Lemort, who planted the Lemort vineyard here, died about 25 years ago. The deceased is survived by two daughters, the Misses Bertha and Marguerite Lemort of Henderson ville; one son, Henry, of Califor nia and two step-sons, and two grandchildren. Mrs. Eugene Turner has return ed to Tryon after spending the summer in New England. Mr. Turner is on a lecture tour for Y. M. C. A., in Georgia. Their Jns are continuing their post graduate studies. Frank is at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Medford, Mass., and Eugene is at Yale Divinity school. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith have returned to Tryon after their vacation in the North. % Special Service Special services at Garrison Chapel Baptist church on Sunday afterrtoon at 3:30. Rev. M. L.
