Denny To Speak Here On Tuesday The Tryon Inter-Church school of Religion will hold its second session at the Episcopal church on Tuesday evening at 7:45. The Rev. William Henry Denny, of the Covenant-First Presbyterian church of Washington, D. C., will lecture on “St. Paul and His Age.” Following the lecture there will be classes for Sunday school teachers, parents, church workers and young people. TUCKER RITES Landrum, Oct. 13. —Funeral ser vices for Luther Tucker, who died on Saturday morning, were con ducted at Fairmont Baptist church this morning at 11 o’clock. The Rev. Broadus Belue and the Rev. T. E. Reid officiated. Burial was in the church ceme tery. Mr. Tucker came to Landrum six months ago from Washing ton, D. C., where he lived for 22 years. He is survived by two sons, Paul Tucker and Willis Tucker of Wor ley, Ky.; a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn McDaniel, also of Worley; his mother, Mrs. Enoch Tucker, of Landrum; four brothers, Hovey of Landrum and Troy and Clar ence of Tryon; and Harvey of Andersen; and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Wright of Hickory, Mrs. Irving Sarrett and Mrs. Norman Stepp of Cherokee Falls. Merchants Association will meet Wednesday night 7:15 at Sunny dale with the Chamber of Com merce.
