They were entertained Tuesday afternoon at the Tryon Country Club with punch and Coca-Cola. As it was impossible to take them on a touy of Tryon in the one hour they had to spare for their visit here the local entertainment committee attempted to pass on to the visitors the spirit of friendliness and informality that exists in the community for all guests who want to come to Tryon for rest and recreation. The Carolina String Band furnished string music and nearly all the visiters and homefolk joined in a few minutes of square dancing just to “loosen” up the crowd. All seemed to enjoy the occasion. Many of the guests from the JpMorth knew of Detroit, Chicago, New York, Pittsburgh and New England people who had come to Tryon, the winter resort, to make their home. The tour to Trycn headed by President L. B. Kinports and Mrs. Kinports of New York included from Chicago: R. S. Caird, John C. Pollock, Mr. and Mrs. J. Stuart Rotchford, Mr. and Mrs. John F.
