Marshall had a line plunge |offensive which gained two touch -downs. An extra point was made by a place kick. The Tryon team was net as fast as usual due to the type of field which they were not accus tomed to playing on. Tryon scored in the opening minutes when McGeachy blocked a kick and Baker fell on the ball in the end zone. Rector of Marshall and Jack Meltcn of Tryon were the outstand ing players. Line plunges by Beatson of Tryon was also out standing.—Marvin Edwards. Noted Authors Arrive In Tryon Tonight Mr. and Mrs. Struthers Burt, both well-known authors, who grisit Tryon occasionally, will ar rive here tonight from their ranch in Wyoming enroute to their win ter home in Southern Pines. Mr. and Mrs. Burt will be guests at Mill Farm over the weekend. GOLF NEWS Secretary Edgar Rowe of the Tryon Country Club states that another record was broken on the local golf links on Friday after noon, when Hon. F. P. Bacon played a one over par 37 for the nine holes. He was playing with Julian Calhoun and Frank SI. Wil cox.
