These elections were held in seven difference communities and the following were elected: County Committee—B. E. Hins dale, chairman; H. E. Thompson, vice-president; Woodrow McKee, member; E. L. THANK YOU, AMERICA The British War Relief Society is sponsoring the first showing of the film, “Thank You, America”, which will be shown at the Tryon Theatre on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, through the cooperation of Charles Nessmith. Maurice Evans, famous actor, is commentator of the film, which shows the appreciation of British civilians for the help they have received from America; the doc tors and nurses, the air raid wardens and fire fighters, shop keepers and housewives during and after the most serious raids on their homes. “Thank You, America” should be of supreme interest to every one whose efforts have helped Grat Britain carry on and should be seen by every member of the community.
