Est. 1-31-28 TRYON, N. C., SATURDAY, NOV. 15, 1941 Miss Wanda Myers Addresses Tryon Rotary Club The guest speaker at the Tryon ®lotary Club on Friday at 1 p. m. was Miss Wanda L. Myers of Washington, D. C., director of hostess service of the Southern Railway. The speaker told of the varied experiences of the hostesses on the streamline trains. Selected for their graciousness and charm the attractive hostesses have to an swer almost the same questions asked by dilferent passengers “How fast? What do you do? What time is it? Etc. The hos tesses lead a full but interesting life, and they must like it for none has been married or fired. Miss Myers has been making tours of the scenic sections of Western North Carolina. Hos tesses are ambassadors of good Jiyill f° r the railway; they are " 'hospitable young ladies who strive to make one’s train journeys en joyable. With a greater knowledge of Western North Carolina Miss Myers will be in better position to direct visitors to this section. Accompanying Miss Myers to Tryon were John Moon , general superintendent; Otis Price, assis tant general passenger agent; and Malcolm Ainsworth, manager of the Asheville Chamber of Com merce.
