Flynn, who has been a ) patrolman for the town of Tryon for some time, has resigned his position. Mr. Flynn said he is go ing into other business. The commissioners of the Town of Tryon have not stated who will fill the place left vacant by Mr. Flynn. It is thought that they will name a successor at their next meeting. Mr. Flynn is a brother of Leo Flynn, Detroit, Mich., law-en forcement officer. Kilpin Elected Commander Os Knights Templar Waldemar E. Kilpin of Tryon was elected eminent commander of Cyrene Commandery, Knights Templar, at a meeting held Fri day night at the Masonic temple 'in Asheville. Other officers elected were E. Wallace Smith, generalissimo, W. Kellv Roberts, captain general; W. F. Krickhan, junior warden; H. G. Etheridge, prelate; A. P. Lawrence, treasurer, and Charles C. Ricker, recorder. The installation ceremony when these officers will take charge of the commanderv will be held at the Masonic temple on Friday, January 2nd, it was announced.
