JAN. 15, 1942 High Point Manufacturer At Rotary On Friday Harry G. Bell, of High Point, general superintendent of the full JBihion division of the Adams- Corp. will be the guest speaker at the Tryon Rotary club Friday at 1 p. m., at Sunnydale. The program will be in charge of Thomas H. Greene. Mr. Bell will speak on the hosiery industry. Over 100 Volunteer Gifts For Birthday Celebration Mrs. William St. Julien Jervey, county treasurer, reported this morning that over 100 people had volunteered contributions from 10c to sl, to the Infantile Paralysis Foundation in celebration of the President’s birthday. All the re ceiving stations had not reported at press time this morning and the number of donors is no doubt much larger. School Principal Floyd E. Millsaps of Sunny View been added to the county Aimittee as chair-man and treas .*r of Sunny View community. Donors are requested to please leave their names in order to. have them published in the special edition of the Bulletin on the President’s birthday, Jan. 30th. Swanns Buy Homesite . Tryon to Play Mantforel In Basketball Friday The local quintet will play the Mantforel basketball team on Spartanburg here on Friday night at 8 o’clock in the, school gymn. Three More Towns Added To Birthday Donors Charlotte, Forest City and Mill Spring citizens have sent, dona tions to the President’s birthday celebration for the Infantile Para lysis Foundation, which will be listed in the special edition of the Bulletin. The citizens of any community reached by the Bulle tin can have their town repre sented in this special edition by sending ten cents or more as soon as possible to the Bulletin. All the proceeds go to the Infantile Paralysis cause.
