Bowen of the Polk County Tire Rationing Board, 1 CA - given out the following infor 2;on on the tire situation which vs that only six passenger tires will be available next month as compared to the seven allotted in January. “No longer any restrictions on sale of 6 or 8 ply tires of size 700x20 or less to persons who can qualify. Also obsolete type new tires may be purchased by any one who agrees to install tires at once and trade in their old ones, and who can show the need for them to the tire rationing beard. “Tires were issued yesterday to Robert Foster, Mill Spring and to Gaither Johnson, Saluda. “The new February quotas were received: Passenger tires, 6; pas senger tubes 5; truck tires 17; truck tubes 28.” -Jijon Downs Haynes In on Friday Night The local quintet, after trailing 17 to 4 at the half, came back to win 30 to 24.
