It seems that the day war was de clared soldiers appeared in some of the main restaurants, asking for papers. They tcok one Amer ican off to prison for three days until he got his papers straight ened out. It seems that he rather enjcyed it though: he had a good bed, plenty of covers, and good food. When he asked the author ities why he was so well treated he was told that it was because Germans had been well treated in America. Finally all the American had to sign up at the Chamber of Dep uties. M. curfew was imposed on them they would ask friends for a bridge game and they would spend the night at the host’s home. Bowen of the Tire Rationing Board states that automobile owners in Pclk coun ty will not be able to have their tires retreaded after today with out certificate of approval from the local rationing board, as the result of new regulations which have just been received which will govern tire retreading. World Day of Prayer Here It takes forty hours for the World’s Day of Prayer to encircle the globe—from dawn in the Fiji islands till the closing minutes in Alaska. It is a wonderful thought that we join with the entire world when we attend the service of prayer in the Baptist church on Friday evening at eight c’clock.C
