Lanier Club Meeting

Mrs. E. Sevier
Mrs. Elizabeth Sevier, 91, the
grandmother of Mliss Anne Se
vier of. the Tryon High School
faculty," died in Spartanburg on
Thursday morning about 10
o’clock.
She was the wife of the late
William Valentine Sevier
S. C. She was
the daughter of Dr. William
Alexander Mooney and Louise
Camp Mooney of Gowansville.
She was an accomplished pianist,
taught music for a number of
years, and played over the radio
after she was 80. She was an ac
tive church worker; taught the
young men’s class and was head
of the Woman’s Missionary so
ciety for about 40 years.
Mirs. Sevier, the last of her
generation of a large and promi
nent family, is survived by one
son. James Ashley Sevier of Nor
folk, Va., two grand children,
Miss Anne Sevier of Trvon and
Richard Lee Sevier of Cliffside,
South Carolina.
Funeral services will be held
at Gowansville.

specify in his bid the amount of
