generaiAelectric J. s. BLACKWELL 1942 APPLIANCES Ballenger Bldg. Tryon Curb Reporter Weather Wednesday: Low 54, high 86 .... A lot of politicians were on Trade street today. The opportunity to help name a new postmaster for Tryon is very tempting. There’ll be trading of support here and there and the congressman will be jugling names back and forth before a final decision is made, then Presi dent Roosevelt will nominate a man and the U. S. Senate will confirm it unless the candidate should be personally obnoxious to a North Carolina senator. Neither George D. Cooksey nor Isham Henderson may be the final choice if a favored politician wants it and can pass the examination.
