Rev. H. F. Bean, Rev. M. W. Edwards and Rev- Chas. B. Trammell will officiate. Pallbearers will be F. E. Ed wards, Henry Gibson, Jess Fos ter, J._W. Ormand, Jesse Rhodes, and Willie Feagan. Flower bear ers will be Joan McKee, Eldred Lynch, June Edwards, Betty Pou Connor, Frances Jackson, Anita Egerton, Betty Foster, and John Walker. Mr. Lynch was a section fore man and had been employed by the state highway department for 28 years. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Eva Whiteside Lynch; a son, A. A. Lynch of Lancaster, S. C., five laughters, Miss Estie Lynch of □fll Spring, Mrs. Mabel Proster of California, Mrs. Leona McKee and Mrs. Dorothy Owens of Mill Spring', and Mrs. Ruby Wilson of Lumberton; also# six grandchild ren. Platt-Jackson Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Francis Platt of Conway, S. C. announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Emily, to Mr. Nelson Jack son, ' III, of Clemson college and Tryon, N. C., son of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Jackson, Jr., the wedding to take place June 20.—Spartan burg Herald-Journal. THE BULLETIN—6 months $1. Soliders Entertained Here Tryon entertained over 60 soldiers from Camp Croft on Sun day. The men were carried to the various homes for Sunday dinner, then taken for hikes ‘or rides to the mountains, and all of them met later at the Parish House for games, assembly singing and a devotional service conducted by Dr. Chas. G. Sewall. The assem bly singing was directed by Louis F. Bunte who also sang several solos. Mrs. Bunte and Mrs. Edwin Beach were the accompanists. A supper prepared by the various churches of the community was served under the direction of Mrs. F. P. Bacon. Mrs. Nelson Jackson, Jr. had charge of the entertain ment. Over 100 plates were serv ed to the soldiers and some of the hosts an^ hostesses. Two large buses came to the Parish House at 8 o’clock to take the men back to Camp Croft. They left singing and waving goodbye. The spirit of fellowship permeated the en tire day. Most of the visitors were from the East as indicated by the following list of those re gistered at the Parish House. (We have their Camp Croft ad dresses and a copy of today’s Bul letin is being sent to each soldier who registered) : John W.
