The May issue of Chase Magazine has an interesting article of much praise for C. W. Ballenger’s Try on Hound Show held at Harmon -^Pr^ 15th. He writes: “It tires to go to bench shows and no one knew if the Tryon show would get any support. Look ing forward, with faith and cour age, the show was planned. It drew more than 100 of the best hounds southeast had to offer. This show will be an inspiration to those yet to come and the ‘never say die’ spirit to say ‘keep ’em run ning’.” . . . . R. S. DesPortes of Columbia, S. C., in renewing his subscription to the Polk County News writes, “Tire situation, gaso line rationing and cook in bad health causes us to forego a sum mer at Saluda. Breaks a 12 year record. ’ ’ ’ ’ The Bulletin sent -Continues on Back Page_ Second Primary June 27th Chairman Baisden of the Polk County Election Board has an nounced that a second Democratic primary will be held Saturday, June 27th, to decide the Demo cratic nominaiton for sheriff of Polk County. In the first primary W. D. Hines received 1,018 and W. Y. Wilkins 795; the low man, Hague Kiser, received 496. If all the Hines and Wilkins supporters vote the same way again Hines will have 223 votes more than Wilkins and the battle will he made to see how the 496 Kiser supporters will vote. Granting that everybody votes the same, Wilkins will liave to get nearly three-fourths of the Kiser vote to win (1,167 to 1,142). If Hines can hold his own and get just one-third of the Kiser votes, he will win (1,183 to 1,126). BACON & PALMER BUY DAILEY PROPERTY The property of Mrs. E. G.
