Schreyer will preach Sunday
morning at 11 o’clock at the Try
on Methodist church where he
was pastor when called to the
colors as a first lieutenant this
past spring. Chaplain Schreyer is
now stationed at Paris, Tenn.
Negro Scouts Leave Tryon
For Week At Camp

FEDERATION PICNIC
TO BE HELD TUESDAY
A war picnic and rally, spon
sored by the Farmers Federation
will be held Tuesday, July 14th,
at Columbus Court House. An in
teresting program has been ar
ranged by President James G. K.
McClure. The meeting will get
underway at 10 o’clock with music
by the Farmers Federation string
band. Choirs, quartets and others
will compete for prizes.
