How Many Hours Have You?
There are several women in
-^fcyon, nameless upon request, who
j^H/e more than 500 hours of Red
^rcoss service to their credit.
Of course, we can’t all give that
much time. I can’t. Neither can
Mrs. Everywoman with three
children and the family washing.
But you and I can give two hours
a week if we’re good managers.
And who isn’t, these days!
The Red Cross rooms are open
Monday through Friday from 9
to 1 in the mornings, for sewing
and for surgical dressings; Tues
day evenings for surgical dress
ings, Wednesday afternoons for
sewing.
I know that we do our dusting
and mopping and marketing in
the morning. We always have. All
the same, once a week we could
market and then Red Cross. The
children are at school and our
Jwsbands won’t object to a can Of
|^Ans for lunch in a good cause.
vRtack the dust in the afternoon—
or skip it until tomorrow. Some
how, a little dirt on the floor
seems unimportant right now.
Once a week, for the duration,
let’s ignore the household dirt and
make Red Cross “What Every
Woman Knows.”—Contributed.
