NURSE’S AIDE CLASS
Due to the shortage of nurses
iy-^Polk County it is essential to
ahead now for a possible
efrorgency, and train a group of
women under the auspices of the
American National Red Cross to
be Nurse’s Aides. Mrs. Packer,
superintendent of St. Luke’s hos
pital, has consented to instruct
such a class, with Mrs. William
Gray as her assistant.
The following requirements are
necessary to join the class. Each
applicant MUST:
1. Be between the ages of 18
and 50.
2. Stand a physical examination.
3. Have had a Standard Course
in First Aid.

school, or its equivalent.
5. (a) Be willing to take a
course of 35 hours class work, 3
nights a week, (Monday, Wednes
aand Friday).
!>) Followed by 45 hours super
d work in the hospital.
6. After above course, volunteer
150 hours hospital work.
7. Sign pledge never to accept
any fee for her nursing services.

place for enrollment, also if there
are any questions to be asked, ar
rangements for an interview will
