was solemnized Monday afternoon
at 3:30 at the Episcopal Church
of the Holy Cross. The Rev. C. P.
Burnett officiated. Mrs. E. E. Mis
sildine, organist, played a pro
gram of wedding music which in
cluded “Cantilena,” from a violin
concerto by Goltermann; “Cin
quantmo”, “Andantino” by Le
mare, “Berceuse” from Jocelyn by
Godard, and “Evening Star”, from
Tannhauser by Wagner. The tra
ditional Mendelssohn and Lohen
grin wedding marches were played.
I he church was attractively
decorated with white pompoms,
gardenias and Southern smilax.
The bride entered on the arm
of her father, James R. Trow
bride, who gave her in marriage.
The bride’s sister, Mrs. Edward
Hgr^onelli, of Larchmont, N. Y.,
v^^lthe matron-of-honor. The
bnuegroom’s father, Wilson J.
MacLaughlin of Upper Montclair,
was best man.
The ushers were Robert Leigh
ton, John L. Brown and John G.
Landrum, Jr.
Among the out-of-town guests
were the bridegroom’s parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Wilson J. Mac
Laughlin, his sister, Mrs. Charles
Shipman of Essex Falls, N. J., and
the bride’s aunt, Miss Antoinetta
Wiederhold, of Orange, N. J.
Immediately after the ceremony
a reception was held at the home
of the bride’s parents, Mr. and
Mrs. James R. Trowbridge, at
Dogwood, in the Hunting Coun
try. The home was decorated
with pink pompoms, gladioli, and
