Columbus Baptists Consider
Purchase of Parsonage
A special meeting of the mem
bers of the Columbus Baptist
church will be held Tuesday night
at 7:4t> at the church to consider
the purchase of a church owned
parsonage. Every member is ex
pected to be present. Rev. H. F.

Health Officers Here Tuesday
At Tryon Kiwanis Club
A. S. Lynn, sanitarian for the
Rutherford-Polk-Cleveland health
district, will be the chief speaker
at the Tryon Kiwanis club on
Tuesday at 1 p. m., at Oak Hall
hotel. His assistant, Jim Fisher of
Tryon, will also be present. The
program is in charge of Tom
Collum.
Allison Martin In Service
C. A. Martin, prominent Try
on automobile man, has been in
ducted in the U. S. Army at Fort
Jackson, S. C., and will report for
duty, Wednesday, October 21. He
will be an aircraft mechanic with
the Air Corps at Shaw Field,
S. C.
