UNDER THE ACT OF CONGRESS* MARCH 3 1879 THE TRMIMM EVlim The World’s Smallest Daily Newspaper, Seth Id. Vining, Editor. Vol. 15. Est. 1-31-28 TRYON, N. C., WED., NOV. 18, 1942 CURB REPORTER The recent good news about American victories should stimu late us all to do more work at home. A little cooperation from everybody works wonders. The Bulletin is being printed every day now with a shortage of two men, but thanks to the merchants who get their advertisements in the office at least a day before they are printed, we are able to get the paper out on time. All long articles must be cut down. Juststop and ask yourself if you are willing to pay one cent a word for the extra words you want in. . . . Wages and hours affect the little business l^fe than it does the big one. In most big plants you can’t get in without a special permit. In Tryon a customer can rush up to a clerk and demand to be wait ed on. Then a friend comes in. A little visit takes place before the clerk can complete the job of serving the customer. If she takes up ten minutes of a clerk’s time to buy a few groceries, etc. the merchant loses money. A list handed the clerk would save the clerk time, the merchant money, and if everybody did it you would be helped in the long run because you would not have to wait so long on the person ahead of you. . . . C. J. Lynch killed a deer Monday, and President George A. Cathey of the Kiwanis club was Coin tinned on Back Page _ .
