Hoey Addresses Executive Scout Meeting In spite of the weather, the district meeting of the Piedmont Council held at Shelby Tuesday night at Hotel Charles was well attended. There were present from the various 11 counties compris ing the district, 54 Scout leaders. Among those attending was form er Governor Clyde R. Hoey, who made a short talk in which he said that no better proof of the interest in Scouting was needed than the attendance at the meet ing. Interest in Scouting and Cubb ing in the Piedmont Council has never been more in evidence than at this time, and all the counties of the district are expecting an increase in membership of the Scout troops and the Cub packs. Those attending the Shelby dis trict meeting from Tryon were: Dr. C. W. McCall, Scoutmaster of troop No. 1; Rev. R. W. Blanch ard, chairman of the Court of Honor and R. H. Brady, county chairman.
