COMMUNICATIONS Dear Mr. Vining: Just a note to let you know of my change in address. I am no longer a part of the 10th Armored Division. We have had a slight reorgan iation of the tenth armored and in this change I am now with the 777th Tank Bn. I can not give you the reason of this change but I am sure it is for the best. Sbme while ago I put on a demonstration for Presi dent Roosevelt, General Marshall, General Devers and Anthony Eden of London, England. This demonstration was the firing of the mortar from ranges nine hun dred to two thousand yards. Dur ing the firing my section made ninety percent out of a possible hundred. I am now an instructor of this warfare at the Tenth Armored Gunnery School. We are continuing our training under the Tenth Armored Division schedule until further notice. I have been receiving your little paper right along and I am so glad because it makes me feel so close to home. A surely wish I could be there today because I know those mountains must be beautiful at this time of the year. I am expecting to be there some time in the near future, until then, I remain, Yours truly, Walter Newman, 34255016, Hq. Co. 777th Tank Bn, Apo. No. 260, Camp Gordon, Ga.
