As the club is incorporated,- and owns valu able property, it is necessary to carry on, even in war-time. The club voted to do this through its present duly elected president, Mrs. Harkness Smith, and her executive committee, but to dis continue the regular monthly pro gram meetings, except when called, for this coming year. The vital interests of the club, the protection of Pearson’s Falls and the work of conservation will be in the hands of the same able committees and will not suffer from the change. Admission to Pearson’s Falls may still be ob tained by applying to Mrs. J. B. Hester. The Conservation commit tee, under Mrs. C. C. Curtis, will not only continue the fine nature work at the public schools, but has undertaken new and promising projects for convalescent soldiers, about which we shall hear more later. Membership fees for the ensuing year have been reduced to one dollar per member.—Contr. HOSPITAL NEWS:: A daugh ter born to Mr. and Mrs. Donald Jones of Columbus; Mrs. G. M.
