Miss Ruth Andrews has return ed from her vacation in Charles ton, S. C., and Flat Rock, N. C. Mrs. C. W. Morgan left Sunday for Fort Wayne, Ind., to spend several weeks with her daughter, Mrs. William Rockhill. Saluda schoQl will hold its an nual Hallowe’en Carnival Tuesday, October 31. The younger pupils will have their party in the af ternoon from 2 to 4 o’clock. The older ones will enjoy theirs be ginning at 7 o’clock. Cake walks, square dance, fortune telling, booths, refreshments, etc., will be feature of the event. Mrs. L. V. Lee and daughter, Miss Martha Lee, spent the week end in Asheville with Mrs. W. A. Houser. Miss Rebecca Lee of W. C. T. C., Cullowhee, joined them for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Ward ar rive home today from Washing ton, D. C., where they have been visiting Major W. C.
