Navy, formerly of Polk County, who has recently been around the world, was made Warrant Officer in September. While awaiting to be reassigned to new duty in Los Angeles, Calif., he was suddenly stricken with appendicitis and operated upon, according to news received by his wife last Sunday. His condition is good. Pvt.
