BOY SCOUT NEWS
Nelson Jackson, 3rd, former
lieutenant in the U. S. Army and
an Eagle Scout addressed the Polk
County Scouters Club Monday
night at the Tryon school. Mr.
Jackson told of the importance of
Scout training in helping Scouts
to take care of themselves and
their . comrades and to help other
people in general. He said that
the soldiers who had had Scout
training found army life easier
than those who had not been
Scouts. -
Phil Morris has returned to
Biltmore college, Asheville, after
a week-end visit with his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Morris.
Mrs. Morgan Morris will spend
Thanksgiving holidays with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman
Schartle in Asheville.
