Vaccination Clinics 1945 VACCINATION CLINICS FOR TYPHOID, WHOOPING COUGH DIPHTHERIA, SMALLPOX The Polk County Health Department will hold clinics at the following places at the times named 'below to vaccinate against the above-named diseases. These treatments will be given free. A State Law requires that all children between the ages of six months and one year be vaccinated against Diphtheria and Whooping Cough and all children are r^^ quired to be vaccinated for these diseases and Smallpdj^ before entering school. It is the patriotic duty of every citizen to keep himself and his family in good health. The’ Health Department urges you to go to your family doctor or to the nearest dispensary point and secure protection against these catching diseases. MONDAY, JUNE 25, JULY 2, 9, 16: 10:00 A. M.—Green Creek School. 11:00 A. M.—Sandy Plains (Westbrook’s Store). TUESDAY, JUNE 26, JULY 3, 10, 17: 10:00 A. M. —Tryon (Andrews’ Building opposite Try on Fuel Supply). WEDNESDAY, JUNE 27, JULY 4, 11, 18: 10:00 A. M.—Mill Spring (Egerton’s Store). 11:00 A. M.—Cooper’s Gap (McGuinn’s Store). FRIDAY, JUNE 29, JULY 6, 13, 20: 1:30 P. M.—Melrose Mountain (Mrs. Harrison Pace^ home). 3:00 P. M.—Saluda (City Hall), except on July 20. (Last clinic will be held at Health Office in School Building on Thursday, July 19, at 2:00 P. M.) THURSDAY, Throughout the Summer: 1 i /?£✓'" At the Health Office in Columbus. / / IMPORTANT: Please be at the clinic points on the exact hour by WAR TIME listed on the schedule. Other activities in the Health Department program demand that we finish the clinics by a certain time. We cannot cover the county with vaccination clinics and do the rest of our work unless you cooperate by being on hand when we arrive at the clinic point. Children who were given one dose of toxoid for diphtheria at the preschool clinics should go to one of the above points for the second dose.
