COMMUNICATIONS A New York lawyer writes the following: “Tryon Bank & Trust Co: “I read in the Bulletin the sad news of Mr. Newman’s loss of his stable and horses, and also that you are treasurer of a fund that is being raised to replace them. I accordingly enclose my check for $25 to your order for this purpose. “In connection with the subject of riding in Tryon, some consider ation might be given to the matter of establishing a new bridle path connecting the Gillette Woods trails with the Hunting Country trails. Ever since the trestle over Vaughn’s Creek was filled in, there has been no connecting trail. This has necessitated riding through the town on paved streets, which is unpleasant and somewhat dan gerous. If a new path could be established across the railroad op posite Sunny dale or near Dr. Jer vey’s house, it would add greatly to the pleasure of riding in Tryon for many people. If there should be some expense involved in laying out such a trail, I would be glad to contribute along with others to defray this.” Due to Wednesday being July Fourth and a holiday, the deacon’s meeting of the First Baptist church has been postponed until July 11th. Miss Nell Hines spent the week end in Spartanburg with her sis ter, Miss Mary Kate Hines. To all persons having relatives or friends buried at the Friend ship Baptist church cemetery; Sa luda, N.
