(Buddy) Moore met accidentally
on the street in Paris. Such meet
ings give a lot of pleasure to home
sick service men. Letters and pic

GAFFNEY YOUTH KILLED
IN AIRPLANE CRASH
Acum Stacy 17-year-bld son
of Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Stacy of
Gaffney, died at the Cherokee Coun
ty Hospital in Gaffney at 8 last
night from injuries suffered two
hours earlier when a trainer plane
which he had rented from the local
Palmetto Flying School crashed
into a power line in the Timber
Ridge community several miles
south of Gaffney.
Young Stacy had rented the
ilght model plane with definite in
structionsx not to leave the vicnity
of the Spartanburg Memorial air
