Eisenhower’s motion picture, “The True Glory,” at Tryon Thea __Continued ov Back Page_ LIMBERT DONATES CALF A donation from Robert Limbert brought the Polk County 4-H Club Foundation one calf nearer its goal of 25 a few days ago. It takes about $100 to buy a pure bred calf. The goal of the local Foundation is to have 25 purebred calves in the hands of 25 4-H club boys who will raise them, milk them and save an offspring from each calf to give to other 4-H club boys, thereby creating a chain of good deeds. When the boys give one calf to another 4-H club boy they discharge their debt to the Foundation. Each boy who re ceives a calf free has to give a calf; and the chain will run on indefinitely and increase the wealth of the whole county. TRYON HIGH GRIDDERS VERSUS SIMPSONVILLE Tryon footballers will make their initial bow at home Friday afternoon at 3:30, when they meet Simpsonville Highschool from near Laurens, S. C. Tryon played them last year. Simpsonville put up a real fight. They have always had a good team. Undoubtedly they have a veteran team back and will be out to avenge last year’s defeat. Tryon High has the smallest team in history of the school and in their game last Friday at Brevard this handicap along with lots of “green” material proved their downfall. This week the team has been working hard and ironing out all the weak spots as far as possible. Several changes have been made in the line.
